Detox: Quick and Dirty Edition

We will be planning a Detox Workshop soon and I hope you will come. We talk about the sneaky chemicals that we are all exposed to on a daily basis and easy swaps or ways to avoid them. And, of course, we talk about food. Honestly, I think I’m obsessed. If I am not talking about food, I am thinking about food. I love to eat, try new foods and flavors and uncover hidden culinary talents that my family and I didn’t know I had.

One of the most common questions patients ask me is, “What should I eat?” My answer changes depending on the goal they have in mind. Weight loss, detox, resolving stomach aches, identifying food sensitivities…In other words, come in so we can customize a plan specifically for you. That’s why it’s in our name, we like to be specific whether it’s with chiropractic, nutrition or lab work.

Buuuuut, If you are looking for a general quick fix, you can do the following.

Avoid the foods that increase inflammation and irritation in the body:

  • Vegetable Oils

Eat healthy fats:

Avoid anything that is not made by Mother Nature such as, plastics, chemicals, fragrances…

This is not all-encompassing but in most cases, this will make you feel better or identify what may be making you feel poorly. Come in for a visit if you want some hand holding, I’m not just a doc, I’m a mom, I’m good at that.
