Happy New Year!!!
It is common to make resolutions for the new year. Things you’ve been wanting to do, think you should do, or have been told to do. Rarely do we do those things or stick to them. This year I vote for a New Year’s anti-resolution.
Something Old That Worked
What things have you consistently done in the last year that you are proud of, that made you happy or made you healthy? Since resolutions are thought of as things we will do in the future let’s, instead, repeat the good things we have done in the past just with more acknowledgment, determination, and consistency.
My Anti-Resolutions
I noticed that when I eat past 7 pm at night, I am out-of-my-mind starving in the morning. When I stop eating at 7, I am not hungry until almost noon and I make better choices when I’m not out-of-my-mind starving. So I’m going to continue to do that. Yay me!
I noticed that if I work out first thing in the morning before I can talk myself out of it because it’s too cold, too early, or whatever, I feel more accomplished throughout the day and I actually get more done, have more focus, and more clarity. So I’m going to continue to do that too.
I have been taking art classes this year. It feeds my creative side and my soul. I’m definitely going to keep doing that.
Your Turn
Of course, there are things that I would like to do, do more of or discontinue doing…and if that happens, great! What are some of the habits, behaviors or activities that you have done in the past year that you want to continue doing because it felt good to you?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Happy New Year!

I’m going to continue to THINK before I say “yes” to anything or any situation that might deplete my energy or cause me angst. I guess you might call that “trusting your gut”.
I’m also going to continue my line dancing classes which are Mind(and foot) boggling but produce much laughter and a sense of accomplishment. Not to mention…provides a good workout!
I think that sounds wonderful, Nanci. I might even join you line dancing!!
