Our amazing massage therapist, An’ Marie Long, is now offering total body stretch sessions. If you are a runner or are into gymnastics, stretching is something that is required to prevent injury. Even if you aren’t an athlete, stretching is important. We need to stretch to protect our body’s ability to move and our ability to get out of a chair or off the floor. Stretching should be done daily. Flexible, strong and healthy muscles are some of the benefits of stretching. This is important to maintain a full range of motion in the joints of the body. When we lose flexibility, strength, and health of the muscles they get tight and they shorten. Joint pain and strain and even muscle damage occurs when the muscles are tight and cannot extend the way that they should and start pulling at the joint.
Keeping your muscles long with stretching is great but assisted stretching can be even better.
A certified stretching practitioner can help you move in ways that keeps the joint healthy and mobile.

You can add these sessions on to your regular massage session. Please come dressed in something that you can stretch comfortably in. The stretch session will be performed before the actual massage. You have the choice of adding a 30-minute session on to your massage session or you can set up a total stretch 60-minute session.
